Let me introduce myself

I was born in a village called Thakur Nagar in the Midnapore district of West Bengal. I used to spend my childhood days fishing in the nearby pons and running in the muddy paddy fields. I can cinematically correlate my experiences with scenes of Appu (a character in Satyajit Rays-Pather Panchali) running after a train in the paddy fields. We also had a train passing by, and we used to run after it out of innocence and pure fun.

I feel staying close to nature and the emotions of the simple village people helped me to build a habit of never giving up on hard work to help each other in the journey of actualization. In our village, there was very little discrimination between us. We were close to each other, so we were stronger in the face of nature and other barriers. School life in the village used to get over with the Sunset in those days. Later in my high school days, I came down to my maternal uncle’s house at Haldia, and my journey towards city life took an ignition start.
